Classic Legends, a Mahindra & Mahindra’s subsidiary, has launched Jawa Perak in India for an introductory price of Rs 1.94 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). It is exactly a year after the launch of Jawa and Jawa Forty-Two on 15th November, 2018. It has been officially announced that the Bobber designed Jawa Perak will begin bookings from 1st January, 2020 across over 105 dealerships and Jawa website. The deliveries of the same will begin in April.
The factory custom Jawa Perak, bears a 334cc, single-cylinder, six-speed transmission, liquid-cooled, DOHC engine which develops 30bhp and 31nm of torque. The Jawa’s engine has been upgraded to comply with the new BS6 emission norms and is slightly larger than Jawa and Jawa Forty-Two. The bike comes with a telescopic front and mono-shock suspension rear suspension, a new longer swingarm and features a disc brake at either end with dual-channel ABS as standard. It stands against Royal Enfield Classic 350.
The black and gold colour theme gives Jawa Perak a classic and vintage look. It features a rounded headlight, a curvy tank, spoke wheels and a single floating flat seat. With the bobber styling, there is no option for a pillion seat and tail light is positioned under the seat rather than fender-mounting. The wheelbase is also slightly larger is 18-inch front wheel 17-inch rear spoke wheels. You can check it out and test-ride the bike at all dealerships from today itself.
